KANGDING, Aug.2 (Kangba TV) -- More than 20 overseas students of Sichuan University from Poland, Russia, Vietnam, Yemen and six other countries were invited to visit Sichuan’s Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture from August 1 to 5. 


Kangding City 

On the first day, they visited the Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Museum in Kangding City and showed great interests in Garze’s history and culture.   

Joanna, a student from Poland said that, “In this rewarding trip, I see, learn about and experience China’s authentic ethnic customs and culture.” 


The docent is patiently introducing relics to these overseas students. 

Cultural relics in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Museum are classified into unearthed relics, ethnic and folk relics, Tibetan Buddhism relics and worship ceremony relics.

Yogyata Dhami, a student from Nepal said, “Local residents are enthusiastic. They taught us how to dance and sing Tibetan songs. I am so happy.”

They will continue their trip in Rongchag, Barkam, Lixian County, etc. in the next couple of days.  

This activity “Life in China - 2017 overseas students in Sichuan”, were jointly organized by the information office of Sichuan provincial government and Sichuan University.
